I bought 2 different pairs of Lowa Boots in August of 2014, but this hunting boot review is exclusively covering the Lowa TICAM GTX Backpacking Boots. I will do a review on the other pair of the Lowa Boots in a few weeks.
My initial thoughts…
Straight out of the box I could tell they were built tough and I was automatically saving these boots to wear after September. I also knew they weren’t going to be my favorite bowhunting boot because of their bulk and Vibram (stiff) soles.
After wearing them for a few days while scouting for desert bighorn sheep, I confirmed they were pretty stiff. It took me about 15 days of solid hiking and hunting in these boots to get them to feel super comfortable on my feet. Once they were broke in they were very comfortable for a backpacking style boot.
After 60+ days of hiking and hunting in these Lowa Boots here is what I have to say about them:
Feel free to email me or ask me any questions about these pair of backpacking/hunting boots. I actually like them a lot better than my last pair of (like) backpacking boots (Hanwag). Here is that Hunting Boot Review.
