Admitting your mistakes.

Technology, information & communication are going to make everything more transparent.   I am so thankful for the world we live in today, because I don’t mind admitting my mistakes, in fact it drives me to get better.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely hate making mistakes.  Failing sucks, but it’s a part of life & hunting.

I made a mistake on this hunt by rushing too quickly.  I got caught up in the bull’s antler configuration & didn’t analyze specifics when field judging.  Ryan (the hunter) knew I was pissed when I saw the bull on the ground, so he actually talked me down.  I wasn’t mad that we had killed the bull, I was mad that I had rushed & over judged the bull.

So, why am I admitting this???

Why is a professional hunting guide sharing this???

Because it matters.
